from the south of Sweden and here are our expectations about the new Millennium. |

A new hour, A new day, A new year... but also a new millenium. The earth can explose. We can all die. All the animals can die. Everything can just die.....or it will stay just as it has been for several years. No changing. The sun will rise. The sun will go down. A new day will come. And the new day will go. It has been like that for several years. Why not continue? It's so easy... Gabrielle |

have any expectations about the new Millennium. I think that all will be the same in the 21st century like in the 20th century. The only difference is that we have to get used to write 2000 instead of 1999. Nothing else! Eleni |

Now when 2000 rolls around It all goes straight to @#%&, For zero's less than ninety-nine, As anyone can tell. As anyone can tell. How it's gonna be? Year 2000 seem to be unknown and far away. My expectations tells that something big are going to happend. But like everybody else we all know/think that it's not going to happend anything, it will continue without something new or intresting. We are going to be what we always have been, like ordinary people. It's maybe the most comfortable, who knows. But one thing have I definitely decided, i'm going to celebrate it no matter what! I think that in a coupple of years the telephones are going to be changed to videophones and every new home will have a terminal to the Internet. All governments will be connected to the Internet. We will explore other planets and colonize the planets. Ofcuase there will be some problems too. E.g. the Internet will be used by terrorists and if we find aliens, some of them can be dangerus to us. We don't know. The technology is going to be much better than today. And we think many people start over and begin new lifes. We guess that on new years eve, every church will be bussy getting someone married. What we have to expect? Maybe in a couple of years kids don't go to school anymore, instead kids sit infront of computers and have a lesson. We don't think anything special will happen when the numbers turn into 2000. We don't beleive in any Big Bang.

Millennium....... ......what does that mean? Does it mean that the planet are going to change? Or is it going to be just as it is right now? I hope that is goning to change, but I don¥t belive that. Jeanette |

I think that the stars will shine just like all the atoher nights. I think that maybe I will be with my friends and that it will feel just the same as every year .....maybe will it be more fireworks .....maybe the stars will shine a little bit more But truly in my heart I don¥t belive that it will happend .....maybe it will happend, in that case I hope that I will be able to look at it..... I have no expectations to the comming year. I don¥t understand why people are making a lot of fuss about nothing. I won¥t celebrate this New Year¥s Eve more then I usually do. The difference is that I will have to get accustomed to write 2000 instead of 1999. I will turn 16 and then I can start practice driving. Well, there is one big step I¥m going to take and that¥s beginning upper secondary school (senior high school). I hope the comming Millennium is going to be peaceful and the difference between rich and poor will get less. Nobody is worth more than anyone else. But if I¥m going to be hounest, I belive it won¥t be better only worse. I feel really bad for the innocent animals. What are they doing wrong? Why do we have to destroy their nature? I really do hope that the people start thinking about someone else then themselve for a change. Maria |
